STANDARD OF POINTS OF WELSH CORGI (PEMBROKESHIRE)
As decided at a meeting of delegates from the Welsh Corgi Club
and the Welsh Corgi League at Cardiff on 30th August, I945

HEAD.-To be foxy in shape and appearance, alert and intelligent expression, skull to be fairly wide and flat between the ears; moderate amount of stop. Length of foreface to be in the proportion to skull as 3 is to 5. Muzzle slightly tapering.

NOSE.-Black.

TEETH.-Level, or with the inner side of the upper front teeth resting closely on the front of the under ones.

EYES.-Well set, and round, medium size, hazel in colour blending with colour of coat.

EARS.-Pricked and medium in size., slightly pointed. A line drawn from the tip of the nose through the eye
should pass through, or close to, the tip of the ear.

NECK.-Fairly long.

CHEST.-Broad and deep, well let down between the fore-legs.

BODY.-Of medium length, ribs well sprung. Not short coupled or terrier like. Level top line.

TAlL.-Short, preferably natural.

HlNDQUARTERS.-Strong and flexible, slightly tapering.

LEGS AND FEET.- The legs short and as straight as possible.. Inclined to be hare-footed. Ample bone carried right down to the feet.

COAT.-Of medium length and dense; not wiry.

COLOUR-Self colours in red, sable,fawn and black and tan or with white markings on the legs chestband neck.Some white on head and foreface is permissible.
